Regulatory heavy-handedness. Get used to it.

Maybe in response, especially if said tone was in advertent, rather
than ruining our audio with notch filters or buying expensive harware
to detect such tones and remove them, maybe all stations should
broadcast the attention signal for an hour, all at the same time.

If that happened, the halls of the FCC would be littered in human
excrement from regulators who can't figure out what to do when the
world thumbs their noses at their reguloations.

Interesting reading for a Monday morning. By embedding 1.83 seconds
of the 853/960 Hz pair in a documentary, a network is fined $20,000.
The base forfeiture amount is $8000, but there were previous
circumstances that warranted an increase from the base amount.
