[EAS] No Power

Bill,
Not only entertaining but devastating for a lot of PG&E customers, particularly those with medical devices that depend on electricity.
It is so avoidable, too, with proper power line maintenance, inspection, pole spacing, tensioning, proliferation of quick interrupt devices, smart switching, asset management...I could go on and on. Why do such wide areas have to be interrupted? Couldn't outages be planned for smaller areas?
It's no wonder PG&E is in bankruptcy!

The paper says that Pacific Graft & Extortion will shut off power to
600,000 customers in Northern Ca today.
The paper also claims that the cell companies have backup generators at
all of their cell sites.
It will be entertaining to watch this unfold.
