Interesting, but the existing EVI code would seem to fit the bill, if the goal is to tell people to evacuate immediately from a forecasted impact site...
Of course, that would probably just attract all manner of folks that would want to come in to watch an impact ...

Debris in atmosphere was observed by the NWS WSR-88D in San Juan.
