[EAS] EAS in the County?

Unless one really knows county borders, it is possible, or even likely
someone geographically challenged could misjudge their location despite
being a local. I would put 90% of the public in that category...of not
knowing what county they're in with certainty when not at home.
In another post on another list, I lamented the fact the local WFO here is
including interstate milepost ranges and large venues in their warnings in
addition to a list of cities/towns. Messages, particularly those which
cover multiple counties, now run nearly 2 minutes.
One warning had 5 interstates and a over a half dozen venues/stadiums in
the warning in addition to the 10 or towns/cities.
While the duration is not very broadcast friendly, the addition of these
specific locations does refine the warning into something more readily
associative to a given location.
OTOH, one big negative is the warning length delays the sending of
subsequent warning products in the queue. In one event not too long ago,
the weather radio was non-stop warnings for about 15 minutes. As soon as
one sent it's EOM, the next one aired. For TOR's and FFW's any delay is
an eternity.
