[EAS] Sage update coming in Sept.

It was a bright and cheery (and steamy) morning until I saw the email from
Sage advising of a mandatory firmware ENDEC update coming Sept. 12 at
$349/box. Morning tea nearly went into the keyboard through an
unconventional route...

I understand the need to periodically update the boxes/systems, and that
not everything comes with endless free updates. But my management
won't...and doesn't care either. To them, it's simply an expense for
another government mandate at industry.
