All--

A few announcements to start your Monday...With hurricanes taking aim at the
East Coast and Hawaii, the FCC has again cancelled the test of the Disaster
Information Reporting System, or DIRS. Here's the official statement:

Dear DIRS User,
Due to the likely activation of the Disaster Information Reporting System
(DIRS) for Hurricane Florence, we are canceling the voluntary test of DIRS
for broadcasters that was planned for September 13-14, 2018. If DIRS is
activated for Hurricane Florence, a separate e-mail will be sent to you
which will include the activation region for Hurricane Florence. We are
planning on having a DIRS test for broadcasters after the hurricane season
is over. If you have any questions about DIRS, please contact Julie Tu
either at 202-418-0731 or at <mailto:julia.tu at fcc.gov> julia.tu at fcc.gov or
John Healy either at 215-847-8094 or at
 <mailto:john.healy at fcc.gov> john.healy at fcc.gov.
