Barry, I think the thrust of those three sections is that an "automatic" log (I get the feeling that they had in mind a pen recorder type device) is perfectly acceptable as long as there is some easy way to review this log when needed.

Since my Sage records everything (including, for example, RMT's sent out by one monitored station for a different state) --and can easily be reviewed off any of the networked computers in the studio--I think that obviates the need for a paper log.
