[EAS] The smoking... button?

This morning the Washington Post offers an annotated screen shot that purports to have been the point of origin of Saturday's foul-up.

For the record we should note that Hawaii actually sent IPAWS a cancellation of the false alarm in just five minutes... but since EAS lacks an equivalent "never mind" function, it wasn't perceived until an explicit countervailing message was sent (as a CEM, so as I hear) roughly forty minutes later.
Note also at the bottom of the WP article that another false alarm apparently occurred separately ("on Tuesday") over NHK in Japan (see <https://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-missiles-japan/japan-issues-false-alarm-over-missile-launch-days-after-hawaii-alert-gaffe-idUSKBN1F514S?feedType=RSS&feedName=worldNews>).
