Regarding committees, merely noting that of the various committees out there, the NAC subcommittee may be the least worst alternative, IMHO.  At least, it's got at least a fighting chance of starting a real dialogue, relative to the others.  Other than that, as Dave Barry once quipped, "If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be 'meetings.'"
