[EAS] FCC Reauthorization Bill

Generically encompasses EAS, but worth noting that for the first time in
about 25 years, the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved an amended
bill yesterday that would reauthorize the FCC.  Among other things, the bill
frees up funds for TV and radio stations that must reorganize themselves in
a smaller slice of the airwaves to accommodate mobile service providers.

 

Maybe as part of that bill, the subcommittee could be encouraged tack on
funding for a steering committee for public warning policy.
