[EAS] The words we use

The two-block requirement in NYC makes sense to me, given the population
density of Manhattan. Many moons ago, when I was a Field Engineer for Xerox
(6th woman hired for that position), I met a fellow FE whose "territory" was
two floors in a Manhattan high rise tower. Instead of a company car, he had
a shopping cart staged in "janitor closet" where he stored his stash of
replacement parts, pretty much the same inventory I carried in my company
car. We enjoyed many talks over cocktails contrasting the differences in our
business culture. I had days where I would spend an hour each with two
clients and 6 hours on the road, after my one-hour commute to the office;
while he, after his twenty-minute commute from Staten Island to his towers
in Manhattan, saw at least 8 clients every day. That experience taught me
that, as Richard Rudman says, "one size does NOT fit all".

Also, I guess I'll need you to explain how NYC's statement of a two-block
requirement was in any way political.
