Difference is, it's AT&T with user priority, and with QoS commitments. We haven't had that before.
I don't see FirstNet as a delivery channel, just a relay net. Certainly there will be places that won't have AT&T coverage even as it is enhanced for FirstNet... but how many of those places have broadcast stations or cable headends?
Anyway... it's certainly possible that FirstNet won't perform quite as promised. And if that happens then I'd endorse a search for alternatives. But I hesitate to condemn it before giving it a shot... and why try the hard way first?

Problem is you're back to using a "common carrier" as the inter-connect
method. Make no mistake, First Net is AT&T and nothing more. Rides the
same fragile fiber as your internet.
