[EAS] EAS Flash Food Warning Problems

And indeed, we had a flash flood warning issued here a couple of days ago for Lyon County, which was already discussed here. I also think there were one or more FFW's given during the previous two flooding events we had in the last two months here. I'll have to look at my records.

I'm well over 50 now, and leave my phone on all the time, at my bedside. If I didn't get a WEA alert, I'd at least get emails from the two ENDECs I actively monitor ;) I agree with the others here that in a situation like this, all reasonable means of alerting should be used to get folks to take prompt action.

It would be interesting to see where EAS gets used during similar table or mock disaster exercises. Incorporation of EAS into such exercises might make emergency planners more aware of its availability and use.
