Geeez.  The system that I mentioned and Art reviewed my critique of 
was slightly better but . . .

These days with digital recorders you can record off air a sequence 
of tones and play it back perfectly.  Something that was harder to do 
with a cassette recorder.

I have (like most radio guys) a 500 kHz to 1 GHz radio test set and a 
Ramsey tone generator.  I can generate almost any tone sequence on 
almost any frequency.

Good thing I'm a nice guy . . .
