YUP!

And that is why I don't relay any watches, or Thunder storm Warnings.
It cuts way down on the interruptions.

Absolutely, a very high priority fix should be to not have all channels on cable blanket interrupted for EAS.
I realize that to do that requires a lot of expensive hardware changes for the cable ops.
But when it is available, perhaps there can be a way to make it a cable option, for a buck or two extra per month to each subscriber. Then also have it work so that the subscriber can select which channels they do not want interrupted, such as the local TV stations who are covering severe weather events.
If someone doesn't want to opt in to the EAS Flexibility Package, then they get all of the alerts all of the time on all of the channels.
