[EAS] FCC grants 30 day extension for comments on the EAS Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

Monroe Electronics had requested that the FCC extend the deadline for
comments for their Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on EAS (Docket 15-94).  

 

The Commission has graciously granted an extension of 30 days.  The new
comment filing deadline is now June 8, 2016.  The deadline for reply
comments is July 8, 2016.

 

The FCC is hoping for substantive input on their proposed rule changes, as
well as the more far reaching questions they pose in the Notice.  This EAS
forum may be a useful platform to start digging into those changes and
questions . and their implications.
