[EAS] concerning the request for new weather Event Codes

I think there is an underlying assumption on the government that we are all dumb, stupid, slow-witted morons, who have to have our hands held at all times. And unfortunately, there are a few people out there like that. But for the vast majority of people, I think they know what to do. But where do you draw the line. The Government thinks, because of the aforementioned mentality they have to talk like no one has heard of a tornado before. I think this sort of info is probably better with a watch alert. And we do propagate watch alerts for certain types of damaging weather, like tornado watches.

Out of curiosity, if you had your way, what would the text of a severe thunderstorm warning be like? Or, a tornado warning?

There is something I would like to mention regarding the information included within EAS alerts.
In my opinion, there is too much unnecessary information within EAS alerts.
