Adrienne,
The EAS911 will try to decode any EAS protocol message, regardless of the Event code that is transmitted in the message. So, the EAS911 will always decode an EAS message with the Event code NPT. You do not have to set a TFT EAS911 to "receive" any message; it will try to decode any message received with valid EAS protocol. There is an option in the Operations Menu to restrict the printing of EAS messages that are received but which do not meet the forwardable criteria established by the user. (Most users do not take advantage of this feature, which was inherent in V.69 firmware.)
If your unit does not print out the reception of RWTs and RMTs, it is most likely because the clock is not set correctly, and the unit interprets the message as expired, or there is a problem in the audio card.
By the way, Clay Freinwald is the cassette sheriff; the rest of us keep them around for the libraries that we may have preserved.
Regards,
Darryl

Darryl--
Does this mean I can go into my "Classic EAS 911" here in the office and set
it up to receive the National Test? I did not receive the NPT but I wasn't
expecting too because it's an older unit. It does receive the RWT's and
RMT's just like always.
And yes, I still have several cassette players along with a box of tapes...
