My Classic TFT 911 is not functioning in a broadcast or FCC-regulated
environment. It's strictly an observational tool so having the new weather
service codes which are designed for coastal areas and not the High Desert
of Nevada, is not a drawback. It comes in really handy to check on RMT's and
other EAS activities in the area. I'd recommend one for any EAS Chair,
especially if you aren't working in a radio or TV station. Some stations
still have the old stuff taking up space and collecting dust, so it's easy
and cheap to find one.
