[EAS] EAS AND MONEY

It is obvious that most of those posting here do not own a radio station.
You think we owners just shit money just like the FCC does. We are
responsible operators and pay all the fees demanded by of from dozens of
groups and authorities. How dare you assume to have a clue and state we
should just go out of business since our business model does not grow as
fast as the demands put on us by so many. What would you do if you had to
replace your vehicle every year because some bonehead in the epa wants
something changed. Yes the EAS in part is good and can save lives, however,
$ 2,000 here $ 2,000 there  and here another $ 2,000 over hear. It adds up.
I am sorry to be so blunt and have been hearing this junk from techs for
years. Try stating some of this bunk after you have had to call on dozens of
local business and have to compete with monster non coms that have virtually
no local responsibility and pay millions for new stations,  Selling against
LPFM(yes Selling) cable TV, papers, internet , facebook and so on. Add this
to having to go back to the station do production, work on the public file,
waste time with Ascrap, BMI, Secac, RMLC, FAA, IRS and the list goes on. Get
real. The commission can make things easier for all of us in this supposed
voluntary required process
