Are you sure about that? I know an engineer who did that, Big sign over 
the button, "if this button lights up press it!"

That was actually the last version of the sign, it didn't work either. 
the button would light up when an Alert was pending, and pressing the 
button would sent it. This is at an LP station. Now their boxes are on 
full auto.
