This is the #1 reason we don't/won't use serial MSRP. After two
failed/false EAN's here, one of which didn't include an EOM, our owner
directed (at significant cost) that all non-relay controlled insertion
points be eliminated to the include a restoration threshold which removal
of power to the EAS equipment restores failsafe normal operations.
We needed another ENDEC and three custom relay panels (since replaced by
TFT 941's) to do that...and our MSRP went to the recycler after the GM
took out some frustration on that box with a sledge hammer supplied by
your's truly.
There are times where consolidated and streamlined command and control is
a great thing...others...not so much. EAS...is in the latter IMHO....
