[EAS] Cybersecurity for broadcast stations

This sounds like a classic case of a broadcast station, operating on a
shoestring, uses one data path for their STL/TRL & Transmitter Control.
Unfortunately, this is becoming all too typical these days.
Another thing that appears to have fallen out of favor is the word
'redundancy'. A station should always have a redundant means of positive
transmitter control. (Not to mention back-up/redundant systems for
-anything- that could take a station down....That is, of course, unless
going off the air (or having your signal taken over by ???) is acceptable.
Unfortunately, broadcasting has degenerated to the point that many larger
stations are engineered like the local LPFM where they have one of
everything needed and where cost is the primary driver.
My $.02

90 minutes??? How long does it take to disconnect a Barix box and switch to
a computer file or even a CD??? Whaaat? Nobody thought about what might
happen if the Barix box ever failed or the internet went down?
