FEMA's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System's (IPAWS)      Workshop Sessions at the 2015 NAB Show
 
FEMA's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System's (IPAWS) Program Management Office (PMO) cordially invites you to attend its daily workshop sessions, located at booth number C02631, during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show 2015 from Monday, April 13th to Wednesday, April 15th.
 
The 15-30 minute workshops will provide interested NAB Show participants, broadcasters, and public alerting authorities with an opportunity to hear from the IPAWS engineering branch staff who will discuss lessons learned following state and regional tests assessments, the importance of coordination between broadcasters and emergency managers, and Emergency Alert System (EAS) security best practices.  We will also feature various equipment demonstrations related to assistive technologies and emergency notifications.

Monday, April 13
10:15am          IPAWS National Test (INT) Supported State-Regional Test (ISSRT) Lesson Learned (led by Al Kenyon, IPAWS Engineer)
10:45am          Broadcasters/Emergency Managers Coordination (led by Manny Centeno, IPAWS Engineer)
2:00pm            Emergency Alert System (EAS) Security Best Practices (led by Mark Lucero, IPAWS Engineering Branch Chief)
2:30pm            Assistive Technologies Demonstration: Translation and Voice Conversion Technologies*
 
Bonus: Al Kenyon, IPAWS Engineer, will participate in the NAB Session "Preliminary Findings from Preparations for the IPAWS National Test" on Monday, April 13th at 2pm-2:30pm in S219
 
Tuesday, April 14
