All-

FEMA is starting another series of free webinars on CAP/EAS technology.
These are very helpful in understanding how CAP/EAS programs can help local
emergency managers leverage local broadcasters when they need to get
accurate, timely information to the public, using EAS and CAP.

Integrated Public Alert and Warning System - Alerting Best Practices Webinar
Series

FEMA's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Program Management
Office (PMO) would like to cordially invite you to participate in the
Alerting Best Practices Webinar Series, a series of monthly webinars
beginning Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time
9:00 AM Pacific.

The IPAWS PMO is committed to actively engaging with our partners by
routinely providing development and training opportunities. This webinar
series was created in response to requests from emergency management
practitioners, developers, the broadcasting community, as well as feedback
from the general public. Each 90-minute webinar will provide an opportunity
for a presentation and question and answer session, and will focus on topics
of interest including:

*	IPAWS-OPEN Version 3.06
*	WEA Best Practices
*	Governance and Multi-Jurisdictional Coordination
*	EAS Device Configuration and Security
*	State and Local Uses of the System
*	Resources for Implementation

If you are interested in presenting during a future webinar, or would like
to provide suggestions, please send an email to IPAWS at fema.dhs.gov with
"IPAWS PMO Webinar Series" in the subject line. We look forward to your
participation.

Thank you,

Charles McCobb
