Who wants to put themselves in a forfeiture position by getting caught in the middle?
"The commission in a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking this summer clarified that once released, an EAN alert must be transmitted immediately regardless of the time in the JJJHHMM "time of transmission" string of the EAS header".
"The guidance from FEMA IPAWS Friday asked broadcasters to configure their EAS devices to "not forward" an EAS message with a header that does not match the current date and time. "
Once Mr. Left Hand has resolved it's inconsistencies vs. Mr. Right Hand, a JOINT RELEASE might be in order.
