[EAS] November 9 Warning from the NAB

Harold Price posted on one of the EAS listservs last week that if a Sage box received an alert that was outside of a certain time frame, it would log and then discard it.  He did urge Sage owners to set their boxes to "strict time" and make sure the time settings are correct.

While I am sure the NAB is speaking from a point of view of an abundance of caution, the BWWG is at this time unaware of the bogus November 9 EAS message problem in SAGE EAS boxes. I personally think this should have been made clear in the announcement so as not to cause undue searching to be done in equipment where this is not a problem.

If anyone has information to the contrary, please post.
