[EAS] EAS is serious business

While some may try to "parse" the language, it is important to know and understand that EAS tones should not be used for anything but EAS. 

Nevertheless, we have another case of the self-inflicted damage by stations and networks who think that they can use EAS tones in movie ads and news reports.

Would $1.9 million in fines impress this message?  Even if it "only" on cable? Even if "it was supplied to us that way?" Rule 11.45 is pretty clear.

Perhaps ... perhaps this time, the message will reach some executives and program directors?
