A1. Unknown. I felt this kind of odd too.

Q2. "Am I being a little paranoid...?"

A2. No, I would check this out myself had I not been the one to see it.

I'd fully expect you to investigate this on your own.  And I applaud your desire to avoid any unpleasant zombie tricks et al.
