Not knowing the actual methods employed, if the supply vent has a
multi-panel damper connected by a common control rod, separating the
damper sections and adding a 2nd controller motor to modulate, maintain
1/2 open or keep completely closed will allow a very precise level of
reduced temperature compensated air flow. No additional ducting needed...
However, it is paramount to constantly monitor the coolant discharge and
return temperatures and adjust so as to insure both are sustained within
the targeted window for optimal operation. Don't presume anything. If
the discharge (high side) goes higher than 200 deg., that reflects
insufficient air flow. Adjust open the damper until the high side
temperature comes down to 190 and then sustain that air flow at various
ambient temperatures.
In that manner, it's possible to heat the room/building rather
effectively depending on wall insulation and such. The next question
would be upper temperature for the room/building to not exceed 75 deg.
The control system should be rather simple with thermostats and relays.
Never the less, make the fail safe full open air movement capacity so
the room can not overheat under any condition either.
