I will also suggest one check with the local fire and building code on
maximum amount of fuel permissible on site and minimum distances to
structures and set-backs. One of our studios has a very tight lot and
we're limited to 48-60 hours of fuel on-site (450Gal) due to the setback
from the property line, utilities, and to the buildings. Everyone
agreed we wanted to have a 1000 gallon tank, but the reality is the fire
marshal emphatically said "no" given the surrounding residential area.
This despite we're the only stations actually within in the City of
Chicago operating in a building we own with co-located transmitters for
two stations and a generator to run them.
