If we could only get vendors to quit using Windows, and instead use an OS with real security, like Linux or FreeBSD, we would be a lot further along in the fight against hackers.

For paswords, consider learning a constructed language (Klingon, Quenya, Na'vi, Lojban, etc.). That will give you a nearly endless source of very obscure passwords!

On the other hand, I suspect that, with enough work, any brand of box could be exploited, so I suggest taking prudent steps to prevent un-authorized access to EVERY EAS box.  Also, before anyone gets defensive, PC based doesn't automatically mean it is vulnerable.  It all depends upon how well a particular manufacturer built security into the design.
