[EAS] EAS Zombie Attack

Add Michigan to the list of states where EAS systems were "hacked". Karole
White, the President of the Michigan Broadcasters Association is looking for
information about the attack from other states. 

 

The Montana story is spreading across the country. We are fortunate that our
media types don't really understand EAS and aren't asking a lot of
questions. 

Montana and MI EAS System got hacked last night. In MI it only impacted one
university station as far as we know now. Investigating now. Asking all TV
station in the state to take EAS off of auto pilot and review every EAS
before they let it go out. 

Need info asap from all other states that this may have happened to. High
level meetings going on now between Larry Estlack our EAS Manager, the
station, the university IT people, the MFG and later today the FCC. A CEM
was sent.
