Greetings:
I just posted detailed information about DIRS reporting for the giant East Coast storm in progress for those of you in the storm's clutches.
http://eas.radiolists.net/dirs-detailed-information-for-east-coast-giant-storm/
Many thanks to Gary Timm for getting this to me for posting.
Thanks to the FCC for DIRS and the support behind it. DIRS is a direct result of actions taken post-Katrina to help keep the communications infrastructure alive during major emergencies.
Thoughts and prayers are all we can do from afar, but rest assured that thoseof us outside the affected area are there for you in this small way.
If you are in the affected area and have not registered with DIRS, you should do so ASAP.
If you are outside the area, we suggest registering for when you will need it -- and we will all need it sooner or later.
