Mike McCarthy towers at mre.com

It's a balancing act and keep in mind Politicals have long memories.

When the station needs to replace it's tower or building in an area where
zoning is tricky due to grandfathering, that little missive will not gain
you any friends at City Hall or the County Courthouse. Especially when a
working EMA cell phone number is given out.

Further, congesting a working phone number of an EMA official in some
areas could be considered a criminal offense (obstructing the work of a
munipcal official) with serious implications to the station should there
be any trailing liability attached as a result of that obstruction.

It's probably OK to say "They're not telling us anything" as a matter of
fact. But I wouldn't have gone much farther during the event on any
station I am involved. The professionals involved in managing the event
don't need to be pestered by the public.
