I am thinking of writing a short Comment for the BWWG basically saying that advocating "warning appliances" that can take advantage of existing CAP capabilities is better than creating a separate TV audio channel for the blind.
Such devices could be customized for use not only for the blind, but for visual and physical warnings for the deaf.
Accelerating development of TTS for CAP should be a short term goal that would not only help the blind, but help clear up audio transmission problems for analog voice warnings from state and local agencies.
What thoughts does this group have about this?
