Doesn't it depend on how long the DHCP "lease" of the ip address is set for in the router(most are set for 24 hours) so the Sage would have to be off for a full day before it would obtain a new address..

On internet access for the Sage:

Some things are making sense.  I set up a desktop icon & put
the Sage's address under favorites in IE so the air folks 
(at the live station) can easily find it.
Which then requires a static address, or yet another Canary
(backup), since one power blip & the Sage would go ask for
another address. Then it suddenly has a new address.. 

However, the cure requires more programing to get internet
access back. 
My ops manager is in Wednesday--he's better at this stuff
than I am, so we will attack it then.
