Here is the information from the FAQ on the Sage web site:

Can the ENDEC use gmail to send messages?

Yes. This may be easier than using some corporate smtp systems. Build 
a gmail account for your ENDEC - it won't get mail, it will just send 
it using the gmail account. Here is the gmail setup we use:

Email Auth Type: all
Email User Name: youraccount at gmail.com
Email password: yourpassword
Use STARTTLS is available: checked
Email SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com:587
Email Domain: gmail.com
