In order for the units not to fall into the incorrect hands (you can find them on ebay) donate them to your county's office of emergency management or local EOC/911 center. You may want to be a good neighbor and volunteer to work with them to make sure the unit is installed properly.
I have installed units in an EOC to monitor any EAS sent and to originate any appropriate local codes (CEM, LAE, TOE, LAW to name a few).
In fact I currently am looking for another Sage unit and any accessories and software for the legacy units. So if you are in northern or central IL and have any of the above I will make arrangements to pick it up.

10. Hook up with a receiver on your station as a confidence monitor
True, you have to still buy paper, but not as much as before, and you have
verification that you actually aired it.
