[EAS] Attention tones for WX alerts?

Thanks to all for the input (and of course, I like Mike's answer the best - everyone 'HATES' the two-tone alerts...) ;)

I'm actually out on vacation this week, but the storm here was really something - very similar to the 'Derecho' down south last weekend - some reported 70mph gusts, driving rain, then it was all over in an hour, with massive power outages around the state. But since it was all clear again by 8:30 PM the fireworks went off as usual :)

So, we can make sure we address the issues mentioned when I get back in next week:

1) receiver level (check for 30dB quieting)

2) receiver audio output/input level into the SAGE box

3) another conversation with NWS about the long pause - (so a bear walks into a bar....)

We've actually had pretty good luck working with them on that issue before, but perhaps something (or some staff) has changed since then.
