Unless we can get the good folks at Google to get their solution certified by FEMA (and the FCC), I'd stay far, far away from them. Even then do we really want to go down that road? I know I do not at this point.

We have absolutely no assurance at this point that their polling, security and authentication is equal to that of IPAWS OPEN.

Simply ask yourself this: Do you want to turn over your air to Google? Once you start polling them with your EAS box they could do some potentially interesting and potentially dangerous things to override your air product using an EAS event code.

Or worse, do we know for sure that all of Google is "hack proof"?
