[EAS] EAS and CMAS

        With the confusion caused when the CMAS messages told people to "Check Media"  The assumption is made that the media (Us) will have the information.  What steps have you taken to follow up on CMAS alerts in station, or further info on EAS alerts?
        I have a couple of Rock Jocks who have asked me how to turn OFF the CMAS alerts on their cell phones because they don't want  to be bothered or have them go off when they are on the air.  Even the once a month test is to much for them.  How will they know what the public is "checking the media" about?
        What steps can we take if the station is aware of a CMAS alert but no EAS has come in?  What have you done to find out more when the EAS message has limited info?  What have you done to impress the on air types with the importance of these things?
Inquiring minds want to know.
