The real question here is not how to turn on or off TTS, or
whether one needs to buy a new unit if you can't turn it off
(Correct answer from the ownership perspective: a single
finger salute) but whether there is going to be anyone from
the Commission at Las Vegas.

If so, then the question is whether someone can be found who
is brave enough and not "corporate" enough to ask said FCC
person about what the H they intend to do about this silly
prohibition, especially in states where text-to-speech is
already in use.

Assuming the usual non-committal non-answer from the
professionally trained prevaricators; then the follow up
question is what the urgency is for a June 30 date when
these devices are useless for radio without TTS.

One public reaming seems to provoke more action from the
bureaucrats than a dozen "meetings."
