I agree, and that is why we're been holding off as long as we can for
our IPAWS release. I had hoped that the FCC would have come to some
better resolution on the TTS by now, but it looks like that didn't
happen, so we're proceeding with a release that will disable TTS by default.
The 1h74.2 release is just for ENDEC users that are currently using
CAP. If you aren't, don't install that one, wait for the IPAWS release.
I hope to get the IPAWS release out after NAB. That release will
hopefully serve everyone's needs, but if something comes up, we'll
have time to get fixes out by June 1 so you can take just one trip to
remote locations.
Remember, if you miss a CAP RWT, the FCC wants to see that 1) you
noticed it, 2) that you worked to find out why, and the 3) you've
taken steps to avoid the problem in the future - all documented in
the station log.
