All about April 23, for Sage users.

If you aren't currently using CAP, then don't worry about April 23. You don't need to take any action by April 23.

If you are currently using CAP, for example, in Washington or Idaho, or you are using GSSNET in any of several states, then you will need to disable TTS. You will know if you have set up your ENDEC for CAP reception, it doesn't ship with CAP automatically enabled. If you are using CAP now, you'll need to do the following:

Check www.sagealertingsystems.com starting Wednesday, April 11. We'll have a link there with instructions and a link to a new release. You will need to download a firmware update that supports turning TTS on and off. Uploading that release to the ENDEC will turn off TTS. Once you have installed this release, you will be able to turn TTS back on from a new option on the front panel or in the settings file. The update procedure is simple, download a file from our web site, and upload it to the ENDEC using its web interface.

Looking ahead, all about June 30, for Sage users.

You will need to be receiving CAP messages by June 30. We will have pre-release of the IPAWS enabled ENDEC software out this week. After everyone is back from the NAB show, we'll make that release available for general use.

At that time, we'll include the instructions for setting the IPAWS url.
