Randall--
If it makes you feel any better...we have been very pro-active here in
Nevada, pushing a steady stream of information to station owners and
managers, engineers, Chief Operators and program directors and even news
directors. We send out weekly EAS reports and the Nevada Broadcasters
Association newsletter has been filled with articles and information. Even
so, I'm getting calls and questions from engineers and managers who have
just now figured out that Something's Going On...I can only imagine what the
next twelve days are going to be like....Aaaarrrggghhhhhhh!!!

Just a handful of weeks ago, before this months' statewide monthly test (the
last statewide test before the national test), I asked the GM of a radio
station that is the LP-1 for its' area if he had been getting updates about
the national test.

He had not heard of it at all!

True, he is the GM, not an engineer or operations manager, but that station
only has a contract engineer that pops in when needed, and it is an LP-1.

I sent him all kinds of links to EAS & national test pages, including one to
this very forum (In fact, he's probably going to see this post!).

I'm simply saying this to illustrate another example similar to the end of
Tom's message.
