Then maybe we need a composite injection device and the EAS box placed
at the TX. Oh...they don't make that. Never did. Oh and the logging
requirements with the paper tape made is just beyond impractical to
place it at the TX. Then let's not forget the TX on a mountain which can
only be accessed twice a year for refueling.

Actually there are a few ways to inject composite if you ever need to.
BDI makes a few solutions for this including our CDS series basic
composite switching and our newer ATB products which can input
composite, convert to AES3 and also inject AES3 audio from an EAS
generator interrupting the composite signal. Visit our website for more
information on our audio products page. Stations have been using these
products for basic audio route switching and EAS switching for some time
now.
