[EAS] Cable forced tuning question

I have a question about the forced tuning process for cable systems.  I had expected that when the cable system received the national test, our cable box would force tune to the test, and that after the test, it would automatically return to the channel that it had been on previously.

During the test, I monitored our signal on cable, which is on channel 25.  Our cable box forced tuned to the national test as expected, but when the test ended, instead of returning to channel 25, it tuned to channel 1.  Is this a known limitation of the force tuning process, or is there a problem with the cable system here?
