[EAS] Quake and Tsunami Warnings

Yep - They issued a warming a FULL 30 SECONDS prior to the event.

Anyone want to guess what percentage of the population reacted to that 
advanced warning ?

Warnings come in several verities -

Long warnings  - Hurricanes, snow storms even severe weather etc   Things 
the news media does well

Short warnings - Tornados, flash floods, close proximity Tsunami's etc

30 second warnings - Earth quakes in Japan

No warnings - Earth quakes everywhere else.
