I am not convinced that there is really that much activity
on 450/455 anymore. With engineering staffs spread over
dozens of stations it's difficult to find the time to
maintain/set up a "Marti" remote.  Most stations with some
engineering presence are going to some form of digital
connection, e.g. Comrex/Tie Line over cellular, or installed
data connection; or via VOIP. The millennials on staff can
handle gadgets with keyboards by themselves.

The "under-engineered" stations just use cell phones. 

Which makes these bands even more vulnerable.
